Processing of personal data under the
new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP).

1. Data Controller

2. Data Processed
2.1 Navigation data (server logs)
The computer systems that operate this website automatically collect, in the course of normal operation, certain technical data transmitted by the browser:
- IP address (not associated with any other identifying data)
- Date and time of the request
- Page requested and HTTP response code
- Browser type and version
These data are used exclusively for IT security and technical monitoring of the website. Retention: 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
2.2 Contact form
Through the contact form we collect: name, email address, company (optional) and message. Data are used exclusively to respond to the enquiry submitted. Retention: 12 months from the last contact, after which they are deleted. Messages are delivered via Resend (see §4).
2.3 Newsletter
The DB Studio newsletter service is currently in preparation and subscriptions are not yet available. This section will be updated with full details on data processing, the distribution system used, and unsubscription procedures before the service is launched.
2.4 Cookies and third-party services
This website uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect forms against spam. The service is provided by Google LLC and involves the transmission of behavioural data (browsing, interactions) to Google's servers for risk assessment. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
We do not use profiling cookies, advertising cookies or proprietary behavioural tracking systems. No consent is required for strictly necessary technical cookies.
3. Legal Basis
Processing is carried out on the basis of the legitimate interest of the controller (navigation data and anti-spam) and the explicit consent of the data subject (contact form), pursuant to the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), in force since 1 September 2023.
4. Recipients of Data
Data are not sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. Providers acting as data processors on our behalf are:
- Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, CH) — hosting and server infrastructure
- Resend Inc. (USA) — email delivery; data transferred with adequate safeguards
- Google LLC (USA) — reCAPTCHA v3; data transferred with adequate safeguards
In the case of a legal obligation, data may be communicated to the competent authorities.
5. Your Rights
Under Arts. 25 et seq. of the nFADP, you have the right to request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, use the contact form. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Complaint to the Supervisory Authority
If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the nFADP, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC):
